KATHMANDU: On the 114th International Women’s Day, SuryaJyoti Life, in coordination with the Phulbari Community Library and Resource Center in Madhyabindu-3, Nawalparasi, facilitated the transfer of ten sewing machines and related materials.

This initiative, under the institutional social responsibility framework, aims to enhance the economic capacity of marginalized women by providing continuous sewing and cutting training opportunities.

Various activities related to financial literacy, basic technology education, sports, climate change mitigation, and adaptation have been undertaken by the organization, in collaboration with both government and non-government entities.



During an event held at the Phulbari Community Library and Resource Center in Madhyabindu-3, Nawalparasi, attendees included Amber Bahadur Mahato, the organization’s president; Kashi Ram Pathak, the secretary; other officers of the organization; officials from the Rotary Club Nawalparasi; local representatives; women participating in the training sessions; and Ishwar Vikal Sapkota, the regional manager of Suryajyoti Life.

While handing over the materials during the occasion, Ishwar Vikal Sapkota, the company’s regional manager, stated that he is convinced that this type of support would help increase the economic ability of women from disadvantaged groups.

Furthermore, Chair Mahato of the Phulbari Community Library and Resource Center expressed his thanks for conducting this program in order to strengthen the abilities of poor and backward women and encourage them on the road of economic growth, which was sponsored by SuryaJyoti Life.
